Loraine A. Escobedo, PhD's Bio

Loraine A. Escobedo was a 2016-2017 RCMAR Scholar at the USC Schaeffer Center. Her RCMAR project was Spatial Disparities in Adherence to Colorectal Cancer Screening among the Elderly. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Escobedo was a Senior Service Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics and a Research Associate at the USC Spatial Sciences Institute. Her specialties include spatial analysis, spatial data visualization, statistical modeling, and population health research. She received her Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology, and Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistcs from the University of Southern California.
